Everything begins in the soil

Our story is a story of stones. The soil of the Serra de Llevant was hard, barren and full of rocks – until we broke it up meter by meter. Today, exactly these stones give us the minerality that makes our wines so clear and light.

Our Soil

The path to our wines begins here

Before we could plant the first vine, we spent a whole year just moving earth and stones. With excavators and stone crushers, we crushed rocks up to more than a meter deep. Dust in the air, machine noise, sweat on the skin – work that required patience and perseverance. But this is exactly where the origin of our wines lies.

Today lightness grows here

Today we cultivate six hectares. Every plant is cared for by hand, every grape is carefully picked.

The clarity of our wines from the soil

The soil we broke up back then gives the wines their clarity today: fresh, crisp, mineral.

Feeling the connection to the earth

When you dig your hands into the earth, you can still feel the stones.

The foundation of lightness in the glass

They are the foundation of lightness in the glass.

A soil full of character and history

The Serra de Llevant offers unique conditions for viticulture. Its rough soils combined with our profound soil treatments are the secret of our mineral wines. A friendly winemaker from the Palatinate called the CA'N SORT wine sites "Grand Cru soils".

Unique soils

Here grow wines that reflect the essence of Mallorca.

Tradition meets innovation

We combine artisanal tradition with the most modern cultivation methods.

The Serra de Llevant: A unique soil

The Serra de Llevant in the east of Mallorca is different from the famous Tramuntana in the west. While the Tramuntana is powerful, developed for tourism and widely known, the Serra de Llevant remains quieter, more original and wilder.

Here lies our finca: between olive and almond trees, sheep pastures and small villages. The soil is rocky, hard and full of stones – not immediately suitable for wine, but only made usable after long work. This is exactly what distinguishes our location: not an imposing massif, but a rough, inconspicuous soil that became the foundation of our wines through our work.

„We held every stone in our hands. Today we are proud that exactly this soil makes our wines so light and mineral.“
